Mattress care and use :
A mattress must regularly be turned sideways and lengthwise, preferably once every two weeks. A proper mattress protector between the bed panels and mattress will protect your mattress, insulate and allow moisture to escape.
Bed panels give more comfort than a wooden plate.
If the base consists of a wooden plate, there must be enough holes to allow air flow and moisture to escape. The holes must be small enough, in order for the mattress not to sink into them.
If the base consists of wooden bed panels, for example home made ones, the distance between the slats mustn't be too big (max. 3.5cm), to ensure that the mattress will not sink. In this case a mattress protector is still required, to prevent splinters from getting into the mattress and causing damage to it.
You must always use a mattress protector to protect the mattress from e.g. urine, moisture or other substances that could cause the mattress case and mattress to get dirty.
Urine for example, and other substances could go through the mattress case and render the mattress incapable of being cleaned completely.
If you do not use a mattress protector, we are not responsible for any damage that is a cause of that, as above described.
The guarantee that we provide on our mattresses consists of the following:
Interior guarantee, meaning that if the core of the mattress has sunk within the agreed time of guarantee, you can send the mattress to us and we will replace the core.
This does not count for bonell internal and pocket springs larger than the size 60cm x 120cm. If the bottom of the bed does not meet the requirements (for example the space between the bed slats is more than 3.5cm) and the mattress is not protected with a good mattress protector that ensures that the dirt/moisture cannot reach the core, then you have no right of guarantee.
If you have ordered an incorrect size then you are liable to pay the transportation costs to send it back to us. We will then send an invoice stating the transportation costs for the shipping of the right mattress to you.
If a mattress is provided with a zippable case, it does not mean that this can go in the washing machine at 90 degrees, unless this is specified in the product description. Too high a temperature could cause the case to shrink and be damaged. Please take note that there is a zip on it, and the case must be protected sufficiently during washing.
